Fine tools with great impact

DetailPro Needle

Needle Tool – Precision for the finest model making details

The needle tool is a classic precision instrument for demanding detail work in model making. The extremely fine metal tip enables pinpoint accuracy in areas where a scalpel or engraving needle would already be too coarse.

It truly excels when rescribing panel lines (retracing or re-engraving surface lines on model parts). Engravings can be cleanly retraced, deepened or corrected – ideal for aircraft, vehicle or sci-fi models with delicate surface structures.

The needle tool is also an indispensable aid when working with filler, resin or putty. Small air bubbles can be opened, excess material precisely removed, or structures carefully refined without damaging surrounding details.

During decaling (applying and positioning water-slide decals) and fine assembly, the delicate tip ensures maximum control. Decals can be carefully positioned or de-aired, while tiny photo-etched parts, wires or details can be aligned with precision. The tool is also perfect for dosing the smallest amounts of adhesive or for selectively removing excess paint in tight areas.

DetailPro Ball Tool

Stainless Steel Ball Tool – Shaping, Structuring and Modelling

The model making tool with a stainless steel ball tip is a versatile precision instrument for shaping and forming materials in model making. The smoothly polished ball tip allows controlled work with putty, modelling compounds or texture materials without damaging the material.

The ball tool shows its strengths especially in sculpting (modelling and refining details). With light pressure, smooth indentations, organic shapes or soft transitions can be cleanly formed.

Particularly for figures and miniatures, the ball tip enables realistic details – such as folds in clothing, muscle structures or organic surfaces. Thanks to its rounded shape, the ball glides evenly over the material and prevents sharp tool marks.

The tool is also highly effective in diorama building. Surface textures can be modelled precisely, while putty or filler can be accurately pressed and smoothed.

The three different ball sizes offer maximum flexibility – from the finest details to larger modelling work.

Available in sizes 0, 1, 2

DetailPro Shaper

Hard Tip Tool – for sharp edges and technical details

The model making tool with a rigid tip is used whenever clean lines, defined edges and technical structures need to be precisely shaped. The hard, wear-resistant tip allows controlled work with putty, epoxy putty or other modelling materials.

Especially for vehicle, aircraft and sci-fi models, the tool is ideal for refining edges, sharpening technical details or precisely reworking filled areas. Material can be moved, compressed or shaped in a controlled way to create clean transitions between components.

The tool is also highly effective for scratchbuilding (creating custom model parts), enabling clean lines, edges or mechanical structures to be formed in modelling compounds or putty. This allows elements such as armour plates, technical housings or diorama components to be modelled with precision.

The robust tip ensures maximum control and allows precise detail work even in the smallest areas.

DetailPro Liner

One-Hair Liner – Precision for the finest model making details

The One-Hair Liner is a specialist brush for detail work in model making where absolute precision is required. The extremely fine, wine-red synthetic fibre absorbs paint in a controlled way and releases it evenly – ideal for ultra-fine lines, clean contours and precise accents.

The brush truly excels when painting the smallest details. Whether edge highlighting on vehicle models, fine panel lines on aircraft or vehicle surfaces, or tiny details on figures and miniatures – the One-Hair Liner enables controlled paint application even on minimal areas.

Thanks to the shape-retaining synthetic fibre, the tip remains precise and reliable even during very fine work. This allows clean linework without fraying or uncontrolled paint release.

A precision brush for model makers who expect maximum control and clean linework in the finest detail work.

Available in size 20/0
